Two things jump out. Clemson's offense has gone up every week, from 145 yards to 347 to 401, and it has outgained both opponents since LSU. Cal has been outgained by both FBS teams it has played, by 51 yards against UCLA and by 188 at Syracuse.
Cal's run game against FBS defenses
Against UCLA and Syracuse, Cal ran 66 times for 186 yards. That's 2.8 a carry. Against Wagner it was 4.8. Adam Mohammed has carried the load, 28 times for 120 yards against UCLA and 19 for 74 at Syracuse, so this isn't a question of who gets the ball.
